Punkbuster: Still a Thing

So yeah, Punkbuster is still a thing. I had this weird issue while playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 where suddenly every server would instantly reject connection with the message “you need to have punkbuster installed and running…”

Fortunately, an observant user by the name of NeOn over at the Steam forums noticed the fix

This fix is for those who have tried everything, updating PB manually, starting service etc, but still ending up with the message: “You need to have Punkbuster installed and running”.

The fix:
– Start BF BC2, go to Options>Settings and under “Gameplay”, tick the “ALLOW PUNKBUSTER”.
– Join a server and play!

What’s odd, is that I’ve never unticked that option after installing BC2, still it was unticked.

Neither had I! Glad someone is keeping their eyes open.

I believe what you wrote made a great deal of sense.
However, think on this, suppose you were to
create a killer headline? I am not saying your content is not good,
however what if you added a headline that grabbed people’s attention? I
mean Punkbuster: Still a Thing « Ben Murden is kinda plain. You should look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they create
post titles to grab viewers to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get people interested about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it
would make your posts a little bit more interesting.

Hi there this iis somewhat of off topic
but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have nno coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
